I see your point but also consider the fact that Miles is the one with the bed on the floor using the dog bed as a pillow sleeping with the stripper he just picked up from the club and the dog that showed up at the house for the party.

Congrats on that go pro, I gotta check out that extended battery, I've been thinking about picking that up. Half the time when we get to a route with good roads and we pick it up is about when the battery wants to quit on me.

Yeah, my thought was that 5 hours recording is good for rides, and at the track it will act like a charger for a 2nd battery, so I can leave it in the car charging while I run the other one on the track. 2.5 hours on a battery is 7 sessions, so one battery *should* make it through a track day, but I figured one time I'll accidentally leave it on and won't be able to record my last couple sessions without a spare battery.

My buddy was using his GoPro hero at the Dragon and it seemed that the battery extender pack didn't really do much as far as extending the batter life. He ended up just keeping one battery in the car charging while running the the other one.

I've joked around here at work about creating an IT reality TV show, strap a gopro to every IT guys head and at the end of the day pull all the good stuff together to make a show out of it.

I did some tests with the helmet mount and I didn't like the perspective.

I do have a setup now to where I can face the camera forward to check my body posistion, I plan on running it that way on my next track day so I can compare right/left turns. Dunno if I'll post it on youtube because it will be 20+ minutes of my ass in the camera.

Looking forward to seeing track video in 3D from this thing.

And when its not in 3D mode I'll have one on the tail facing backwards and one on the helmet.
Like I said in the track day thread - lets hope the video is interesting but not 'that' interesting.

Don't be jealous that he won't catch you on 3D camera for Saturday (unless he puts the track bitch shirt in view).

Will you be using the 3D setup for people if they ask for it or not? Do they have to request it, is what I mean?

Now what sort of setup do you have to have to be able to watch the playback? Can you just get two tv's next to each other and cross your eyes? ha!

I'm experimenting with that now. Theres a free application called Cineform Studio on the gopro website that takes the files from each camera and assembles them into an anaglyph file - the kind you watch with the old style red/blue glasses on.
What I'd rather do is figure out a way to synchronize the cameras while each has an LCD Backpack fitted and mount them in a pair of glasses. That would be true 3D viewing.
Anyone here able to hack a GoPro?
