You know you can just tape over your mirrors, right?

And aren't you riding down?

:HeadScratch: Are you transporting your bike in the trunk of your car? Why does it look like you are completely taking her apart? FYI...bring some blue painter's tape to the track with you and we will help you tape her up so you don't have to go through the hassle of disassembling your bike.

Yes I am riding it down but didn't think I should leave the mirrors on it. I guess I will put them back on and tape over them.

Once you're at the track, the choice of removing the mirrors or taping them up is just a matter of personal preference. I liked having them on for the first few track days, because I was able to use them as reference points for body position. Now that she is track-only, all that stuff is removed and boxed away.

I am leaving mine on and most people do. If they are easy to take off, we can do it at the track. If you have to disassemble your bike for your mirrors, then it is NOT worth it. Let me tell ya, if you wreck (which I hope to hell you don't), but if you do, your mirrors will be the last thing on your mind.

That's guys and gal. I will put them on and just tape them up. It is a pain to get them back off.

We will help you since this is your first trackday. If you decide to turn her into a trackwhore and nothing but a trackwhore, then there are several guys here that either have track-only (trackwhore) bikes and/or raced so they will have plenty of knowledge.

Plus you really don't want to ride down without mirrors. It would suck to get a ticket on your way home from the track.

Wasn't really worried about getting stopped. However I didn't like the thought of riding without mirrors. I was doing a little preventive maintence so I figured why not take the mirrors off while I was at it.

You are just making so much work for yourself. What time are you planning on being at the track sunday or are you dropping your bike off Saturday night?

It's not that much work at all. Takes about 15 minutes to pull everything apart. I was planning on getting there when the gates open.

I definitely won't be there THAT early but probably closer to 7ish. I am sure there will be other FWMR peeps out there that early though.

I plan on strolling in there around 7am-ish as well. Gonna try to make the track drive both days at 8am.
