What is the base (worst case scenario price) that we would be starting from?

I've been able to find them on them on the ineternet around $150 so I would imagine somewhere south of there, otherwise where is the discount. I found this vendor from another group buy from a california bike club, and everyone raved about the discount, he asked me for headcount and he'll tell me how much he'll chop off based on volume.

I thought you had the scala already? Reason I ask is to find out why you want to change. I might be interested in one but have to find out more info.

I should be in for one. I need to check the models to see which one I want.

When you say 'mic-no boom', which one is that? I don;t see it on the products page.

Ok after some research I am in. How much notice will we have once you have a price?

Depends on how we do the buy, if we have to do it in one bulk purchase I'll work out the timing here, if we go individually then we'll just go individually, never done this before so it's a learning experience for me.

There is a plug in mic that sticks to the inside of the helmet, and one that is on a mic boom.

The boom is not ideal for such things as chin curtains.

Put me down for 2.

Edit: the model with the mics.
Random stuff I say:
Women are like square roots, if they're under 17 you just have to do them in your head.

What would you be if you were attached to another object by an incline plane, wrapped helicly around an axis?

I'm in for one with a boom. Probably switching to a modular helmet next, and I've already got a full-face mount.

To clarify, the unit with the universial mic has BOTH a boom and a wired mic. The boom is detachable from the base unit so you can use on or the other. There's also a base unit that has detachable speakers but from what I've read that had a tendance to break easily.

As for weither or not I get one, I'm holding out till we do some testing. With a range of only 900m, I really don't think they will work well for our style of group riding.

Just need a 3rd on the middle to act as the repeater. Gives you over a mile of range B(front) ------A(middle)------C(back). I'll have one of the new models next week we can see how well the range will work.

Matt, I'm not sure why you keep saying that. I've never been on a club ride where there was more than 1km between the lead and tail riders.

I called Sena, they stated that they do act as repeaters which extend range and increase audio clarity. If your going to have a large group, spread the coms out in the pack.
