QuietEar Reusable Musician and Motorcycle Ear Plugs
I have been trying these out and I like them a lot. They fit well if I get the small size. They allow sound to get through so I can still hear music and people but knock out a bunch of background noise. They are better than going without plugs but not as quiet as good earplugs..... However seeing as I love to listen to my music and talk on the Sena it works great. I will try some others but these so far have my vote for the best out there. They are reusable and cheap... they are comfortable and they help with noise without taking out to much noise. Some people have been asking where I got them and so here is a link.

I have the -30dB version. I'm not particularly a fan, they just don't fit my ears right. I use Moldex Rockets. I keep trying other earplugs to see if there's anything better, but I keep coming back to those.

Normal earplugs are great for riding. But I'm kind of hard of hearing and while the senas work great I'd like some that don't block as much

Not blocking as much = more hearing loss later.
Bikes are LOUD in motion. -30dB is what I'd prefer to wear, but -27dB is the best I can get with reusable and comfortable for me.

You don't want less reduction in sound, you want more reduction in noise. Pay attention to the frequency reduction levels. You'll have to look around but I'm pretty sure you can find some that do a good job of blocking noise while still letting typical voice frequencies through rather well.

Re: QuietEar Reusable Musician and Motorcycle Ear Plugs
Seeing as I use to ride without earplugs these are much better than doing that. I have been using earplugs for a while now but have always been looking for something that would allow me to hear my music without having to turn it all the way up. I also plan on trying out the base that allows me to use my own headphones for speakers on the Sena. Once I do that and get some good earbuds then I might be using that all the time.

Re: QuietEar Reusable Musician and Motorcycle Ear Plugs
If you're going to do that, they are expensive as hell but you should look into the earplugs with built in speakers. Ear buds don't do much to block sound but these are purpose built, custom molded ear plugs that happen to have a speaker built into them. Just do a google search and you'll find them.
