Most of the time you really don't know what you are getting into when buying a bike. As you probably already found out my fuel pump failed at the last track day. I picked one up yesterday and replaced it. I was able to get one for $60. You want to know what the suzuki stealership wanted. $837. How is that even possible? Anyways, Here is a pic of the one I took off of the bike which was obviously sealed with silicone. You can see the O-ring completely covered. All of the silicone you see there was inside of the tank and sticky/sludgy considering it was soaked in gas. So I spent a while last night cleaning out the tank before I could even put the new one in. The tank that is on the bike isn't the stock one so there is no telling who's fine work this is.
Either way I am back up and running!

Re: Fuel Pump
Yeah, I was up until 1:30 am last night cleaning out the tank and removing all of the silicone.
I posted one in the new purchase thread. Here it is.
