Need brake pad advice on the BMW
Hey yall. Time for new brake pads.... just don't know which ones to get. Please fill me in on what brake pads you would advise on my bike. Thanks.

My personal favorites are Vesrah pads. Both their RJL and RJL-XX models are phenomenal pads.

Re: Need brake pad advice on the BMW
I suggest using them, early and often.
I've always used EBC HH pads, I consider them the Q2s of the brake pad world.
If you're switching compounds, you'd do well to sand down your discs pretty good and go through a bedding process (basically a bunch of hard braking on a road where you don't need to stop anytime soon, because you won't be the first few times).

Re: Need brake pad advice on the BMW
I've been much happier with my vesrah brake pads over the EBC. But EBC has an extreme pad that should be pretty good. Might check that one out. When in doubt you can't go wrong with EBC.

I prefer EBC, I'm not a fan of Galfer, they sucked.

Re: Need brake pad advice on the BMW
I liked Galfer on my CBR...a huge improvement over stock, but that's been a few years ago also. Just my .00000025 worth. I do like the Brembo setup on my Triumph, and to be honest, I have no idea if that's just Brembo hardware and some other brand of pads, or Brembo pads as well...but they work really well. Considering he bike and the potential velocity, have you considered an anchor and/or parachute?

Have you ever tried Ferodo brake pads? Aka Federal Mogul. They offer same performance as higher priced brands.
