race/riding boot

Post by MattStrada » Fri Mar 21, 2014 9:55 am

Has anyone had any luck finding a boot with a wider than normal toe box?

I tried on a few yesterday and they were all super tight in that area and felt very tight on the inside of my foot.
Is this normal for race boots or do I just have an odd foot.

Hmmm I found that they were all a little big for me. But the smx plus was a bit wider than the smx-5

My SMX fits width wise, and I have to buy extra wide shoes when I shop.

However the SMX is great winter boot and I don't like the level of ankle protection it provides.

Yeah I tried the SMX-5 and it seems way to snug/uncomfortable.

Honestly the Built boots are a good fit for me.

The Bilts are a little roomier than the A-Stars for me. I have both.

I have fairly wide feet, but my Cortechs are actually a little too wide for me.

Try the A-stars Supertech boots, the ones with the inner and outer boots. They are slightly wider than the SMX-Plus boots.

I have the Supertech R and they are roomy in the toe, roomier than the SMX-5.
