What pisses me off about it is the money I spent on my Arrow exhaust, and how good three of those cans would look, and more importantly, sound.

I've got a Versys I'll sell you cheap. Just add a lowering kit and you're good to go.

Hey, I've got stumpy legs too, believe it or not. 29.5" inseam. The only thing that helps me on the Versys is my fat ass compressing the suspension down.

The Versys was my touring bike for a few years. It did 4,000 miles from SLC to Seattle to FTW no problem. Already has heated grips, a custom seat, etc. and it's sporty as hell too--it was my track bike last year. Runs L2 no problem with sticky tires. It's like riding a comfy-for-long-distance supermoto.

Looking to get $3k out of it.

I really want a 1k not a 600 for touring/daily. I need to ride one, but I'm really starting to lean toward a V-Strom. I know the Versus is a great bike as well, but again only a 600. It might be perfectly fine, but I'm just wanting a 1K.

Plus I won't have the money for anything for a little bit, as I don't want to take out a loan.

I've toured on the 675. It's possible, but not comfortable. I want comfortable.

I could be wrong about the others but I dont think any of us had any problems at all with comfort on our ride. I know I never hit a point that I actually had the thought cross my mind that I needed a more comfy bike for this stuff.

Having owned both, there is no comparison. Its like arguing that a touring bike does equally well on the track as a supersport. It doesn't, although that doesn't mean that its not fun to use it that way. To each their own, but there is a proper tool for each job.

But why the Goldwing in particular? There are lots of alternatives: FJR, C-14, ST1300, Multistrata, Sprint, Tiger, V-Strom, GS, etc.

Hell, KLRs and DRs have been used forever to tour anything from Africa to Asia.

I'm saying how much more comfortable it would be to get off the 675 and get on a bike that is more suited to longer rides. How did you not get that lol
