I'm with Miles, the RC390 is most race like but it would be a toss up between the R3 and Ninja 300, both excellent bikes. Another to consider is the new BMW G310R. No, they are just the most well known and affordable. BMW & Ducati both run track events, ECR has regular motorcycle events, EuroSport does occasional track days. Others are out there, they're just not as well promoted. I dont even know about BMW and Ducati...when where are they doing their eve...

Big tracks draw big schools, California Superbike school and CLASS motorcycle school are both schools based in CA, and are not cheap.
