Re: Recent (sorta) rides..

Since moving to Austin, both bikes have been sold. The VFR went last summer. My '14 Miata was destroyed in a hail storm so I bought a '21 Miata. It's pretty much my fun car and my daily driver. By the time I sold the bike, I think I had put less than 50 miles on it the entire year. It was time to le...

I'd take them if I was all the way down here in Austin... They would fit the VFR.

Small coin PVC garage mats for the new garage...410lbs worth...

Doing mats on the floor instead of epoxy coating. Dad has similar mats and they are much more durable than epoxy coats.

Guy from work was going to go and then can't so he just handed me his two Sat and Sunday grounds passes. I'm only 20 min from the track so I may go hang out. May just hit the main race on Sunday.

Re: Rotory superbike

Rotary engines are actually nice for their size and displacement. You guys already hit the point...700cc engine at 200hp. Most engines hitting 200hp are 1000cc motors. Rotary motors are OK unless you turbo charge them. The bad rep they have gotten the the 3rd gen RX-7s were from people modding the s...

AF1? Aprilia dealer in Austin, they apparently gave an irresistible cash over to a fellow '14 owner with a spun bearing and convinced another '14 owner that the '17's are "fixed" TXSR Mike said something similar about the new ones not having the same issues. And after this experience I wo...

Re: question

The 2002-2009 (2009 was the last year of the 6th gen in the US) is all the same basic bike. There were rolling changes from the 2002 to 2006. The 02 to 05 the VTEC engagement was at a higher RPM. There was also a wiring harness improvement on the 06+. Other than that, it's cosmetics and colors. Only...

Re: SV1000 lower fairing

I know because a guy sold me an OEM set of fairings a couple years back and the ebay ad said fits both. Of course I have 650. The fairings were for the 1000. They did not fit at all so back on ebay they went.

Re: SV1000 lower fairing

Oneida is selling them for that price because they are discontinue and they have the only new old stock left on the internet. Before they were discontinued they were selling them for half that. It's price gouging at its finest. Good luck finding them. Btw if anyone tells you the 650 lowers will fit ...
