I hate that moment when some part of your sounds the OMG alarm! Wheather it's the eyes, ears, or your ass trying to get sideways. B...

round robin on the saturday morning. That would have been the most embarrassing crash of all time... So, what are you trying to say? I'm saying its alright for a student to crash in the round robin, provided he/she can do so with no visible damage to bike or gear. :SideSplittingLaughter: Its absolu...

Re: master cylinder question.
Wing stop is good, Little and I-20 is nice and close. Or Fuzzys. I'm free until friday night if you want to do it this week, every night next week. I'm heading down to Harris Hill this weekend to test out a new CBR1000SP for a customer. I'll take my RSV4 down and do a session just to test the new br...

I have to change my screen name - I finally sold my RC30. After 23 years of ownership which included 4 engine rebuilds, hundreds of track days, a recent restoration from crankshaft to paint, and even being complimented by my hero Kevin Cameron in Cycle World online: (http://www.cycleworld.com/2014/0...

Re: Anyone owned a 2013-2015 Aprilia Tuono?
The motor thats in the Tuono and RSV4 has some pretty poor quality control from the factory. Mine has 3,500 miles and I just did a valve clearance adjustment - 9 valves were out of spec. I know some other motors that had 0 clearance from the factory, which is terrifying, and a friends motor exploded...

Re: Frame welder/builder?
I can do that for you. Do you want reinforcing material added or just a larger weld? I can do either. Cool beans!...Well, both really. I have another subframe in transit that I want to reinforce and when the broken one is removed I'd like to repair it and reinforce it if possible. I have no idea wh...

Re: Most recent purchase thread!
This is all for my SUV, but it is a bike transporter so its kinda bike related. this turned into a longer project than I expected and turned out way better than I hoped... - engine oil and filter - rocker cover gaskets - steering rack bushings - brake rotors - brake pads - brake fluid - front wheel ...

weird audio amp requirement
I have a question for the audio experts out there. I was recently playing around with the non-functioning 6-cd stacker in my suv to see if I could fix it. Luckily all it needed was a cleaning and now it works perfectly. While I was doing this I was playing around with the idea of connecting a 3.5mm ...

Re: Winter Projects 2016/2017
My projects include replacing the drywall in my garage ceiling that collapsed... And I need to finish the new custom enclosure for my CNC mill that I started right before blowing up the controller CPU with my own ham-fisted stupidity! I also have a peltier cooler for it now which I can control via g...

I'm not quite sure. Its incredibly light, and has a long list of features, but I dont see what justifies the price. I would never pay that much.DarcShadow wrote:Holy crap on price. What is so special about this lid?

Re: Most recent purchase thread!
I think you'd still have condensation problem sticking the controller in the fridge. My thought was to stick the bucket of water in the fridge to keep it cool. Reading the spec. on that controller box though, and looking at the heat sink experiment they did, with a simple fan it should work in the ...

Re: Most recent purchase thread!
Keep in mind we are not talking about a PC here, the CPU being discussed is a controller for the cnc and if I recall correctly RC30Rider mentioned that others have reported the same sort of problem when the unit gets much over 90F so it's not a problem unique to his setup. I need to look into the c...

Re: Most recent purchase thread!
the cpu in my cnc controller reaches 90° after about 5 minutes in summer. As soon as this happens it starts sending random signals to the mill and that destroys parts. I tried one liquid cooling system but it couldnt reduce coolant temp below ambient, so in summer it was useless as the temperature i...
