New Bar ends won't work!
I was excited to finally have the bar ends off my bike and ready to put the new ones on! Turns out, the bar is not hollow but flat with threaded hole for stock bar ends to screw in. So now I guess I'm in search of a pair of bar ends that will thread in same hole. The ones I got exactly match the color of the bike so I'm dissapointed they won't work.

Doh!

Re: New Bar ends won't work!
I ended up drilling my new bar ends to accept the screws from the original bar ends, so I didn't have to jack with the internal threads.

Yeah, you can probably modify the bar ends you bought to make them fit. All you really need to do is get the stock screw in them and remove the stuff that is made to expand into a hollow bar.

I thought of that but not sure if I can drill thru the new bar ends but I'm going to give it a chance.

If you have access to a drill press, use that. Otherwise, a clamp and a new bit should do it. I used a clamp and a hand drill, and if I recall a 5/8 inch bit. Maybe it was a 1/2 inch...
