Bike stands

Anyone know if it's a must to have stands to install the wheel tape? Seems like you would have to have bike up to install

Beats me, I installed my wheel tape with the wheels off the bike, doing it with the wheels on the bike seams like it would be a pain.

It would help, but not necessary, you just have to roll the bike little as you go. Wouldn't be to bad with a friend helping.
