Oh jeez, you keep that up and you're going to have Fixxer figuring out how to cut light holes in race plastics.

It's only a 600, quit being so afraid of the throttle. It won't take off on you *that* fast.

Yea....Id be more afraid of my 650 gettin out from under me on takeoff than a 600. You really gotta get the rpm up on a 600 to be scary on takeoff.

There is a lot more horses under the 600's plastic than the 250's plastics so there is more of a chance of me doing something stupid like a wheelie on the 600 than that tame chatty Kathy. Calm down!! I will eventually get there.

While doing wheelies on 600's is pretty easy, it's not THAT easy.

Not if you keep dropping it, eventually something is going to break.

Do yourself a favor, go look at a HP curve for your GSXR. See how it stays nice and low until it revs really high like over 10k? There's nothing to be afraid of as long as you aren't screaming the engine and dumping the clutch.

Now go look at a torque curve. See how its REALLY low at low RPMs? That's why it's stalling.

Throttle up to 4k-5k to take off from a stop every time. Use the clutch to control your speed at launch, not the throttle.

Or if you're that scared of it, get a 650 twin instead of a 600 I-4.

Horsepower is not where your problem is. Like Rhino said, the torque comes in waaaaay late on an inline compared to a v-twin. Torque is what kills, not horsepower. Just ask yor hubby, im sure his pockets still feel the burn from too much torque.

For the record, I have NOT dropped the 600....yet. I have only stalled it. The clutch is a bit more touchy than the 250's clutch so I am getting used to that. I am guessing that I am starting to get use to the touchiness of the clutch since I didn't stall it at all on Sunday :D :D :D :D

He does, but he claims they're from his manly prowess. We're pretty convinced it's because he doesn't do the dishes. :SideSplittingLaughter:

I have an I-4 and the torque curve is way early!!!! Depends on the bike!

Those on his arms ARE from Lily...not me (and they are bites not scratches). I promise!!! She is a little bitch and when she gets pissed off she bites the living shit out of his arm like she is trying to kill the prey.

You need to get Lily a kitten to play with.

I agree but fixxer does not. I think you need to convince him otherwise.
