Aren't corners on the track way more fun than high-speed straits on the highway?

Fair enough. At least you put that S1000RR back to what it was designed to be--a cornering beastie.

Yeah, I was there with a fair sized group, pitted under the south end of the canopy closest to track entrance. I'll keep an eye out for you when I go through my video.

B+ both days. I kept an eye out for you when I went through my Sunday video, but didn't see anything that looked like your bike. Looks like we were running about the same laptimes, so not surprising that we didn't see each other. Were you there on Saturday? I haven't gone through all that video yet, but I was running quite a bit slower (that was my first day at Thill), so you might have passed me sometime then.

2000 R6, all stock, BT016 tires. I very much dislike it as a streetbike, but it's a blast on track! I've done two weekends on it now (Thill just now, Laguna last year), and it's crazy how much easier it is to ride fast than the VFR or FZ1. I mean, I know that's the point, but after close to 30 trackdays, finally switching to a supersport is a revelation. I definitely still prefer more sane bikes for street, though.

Wow that's a fast looking track.

Lot of huge straights, and very wide open sweeper style turns. Must be a liter-bike paradise!

how do you like your bt016's? mine were pretty much at the limit, had it step out quite a few times and make my butthole pucker but thankfully trac control saved it.
this bike is a HANDFUL in the turns, gave my hands a hell of a workout.

this track really is awesome for liter bikes, i was doing 155mph on the front straight!

If your hands hurt, you're holding on too hard. Loosen that grip and let the bike do its own work! It will make you smoother and in many cases can even help keep the bike more stable seeing as you're not putting in extra input that it doesn't want!!!

its not the grip, its having to push the bike down into the turn while on power, the bike wants to stand up, so i gotta keep it down.

I'm confused, your in the turn, but the bike is trying to come up? Don't get me wrong my hands get tires to sometimes, but that's all my fault. How does tightening the grips keep the bike down?

when you get on the throttle mid lean, a bike with lots of power will want to stand up, me being a very light rider, my weight doesnt help me as much as a heavier rider in keeping the bike leaned in, so i have to 'force' it to stay in the lean while on power.

again, nothing to do with tightening grip.
