I assume that shot was taken on an android/iphone?
I need to figure out how to do that, never messed with it before.

It's a setting in the camera app. Turn on panorama, point the phone where you want to start the picture, push the button to take the photo and move the camera in the direction you want. It will automatically take the additional pics as you move the camera.

Had fun guys, thanks for letting me tag along, found out im more of a newbie than i thought on this one. I gotta work on my grip, my hand was falling asleep. In my 1 year of riding this was one of the longer rides. Count me in on the next beginner ride. Don't think im ready for anything else just yet.

That is why we have beginner rides. You will know when you are ready for a moderate. There is no need to rush things. If you need help working on anything or want pointers, there are some that will offer their advice.Juicebox wrote:Count me in on the next beginner ride. It is three shots taken with an Android Samsung phone. I haven't experimentedfixxervi6 wrote:I assume that shot was taken on an android/iphone?

with the pano features of the phone yet. These were stitched together on the PC
by Microsoft ICE which is available (for free) here: http://research.microsoft.com/en-us/um/ ... s/ivm/ice/
The seams are pretty visible which usually means I should have taken the shot
with more photos, in this case 5 pictures would have had a smoother flow. I just
don't have the patience with the camera phone as there is so much lag time between
the screen tap and the time it actually takes the picture that I frequently ruin the shot
by moving the camera to see what's wrong with it. Then it takes a picture of my feet
or a curb or a door knob.

Funny how times have changed things. Back in the day taking a picture, especially a pan. was a big ordeal, now waiting the 2 or 3 seconds for the PHONE to take the pic is too long. ha! Ever look real close at some of the old WWI pan. photos of groups of men, or school photos. There are serveral were you can find the same person at both ends of the photo.
