Sena

Post by Polokid69 » Wed Aug 07, 2013 5:40 am

My sena doesn't seem to be keeping a charge anymore. I charged all day at work yesterday and then tried to use it on the way to work this morning and it wouldnt turn on . It was off the charger overnight but it had been going for weeks in the past unless I was using it on a ride. Any ideas?

how long should that thing take to charge ? It's been on the charger since 630 am this morning and the red light is still on. Doesn't it go off once full charged ?

It turns blue when fully charged. When I drain mine it takes a long long time to recharge

With it off and connected to the charger, Red=charging, Blue=fully charged, no light=not charging.

it's on the charger now and has been since 6:30 am and has solid red light so I guess it's still charging.

My guess is a cable wiggled loose. You thought you were charging it, but you weren't.

We have some type of portal (I am not a computer nerd so I do not know the correct terminology) that allows us to plug in a lot of devices. When we have the headsets plugged in to charge (as well as our phones), the lights on the headsets are not always on. Fixxer, I believe, said that it cycles, which is why some of the headsets are charging and some are not. I think that is just the portal thingy that we have ours plugged into that cycles and not the senas itself. I'm not a sena expert so IDK!

Becky, that's called a hub.

Mine glows half red and half blue when charging. Mebbe I have a different version. I dunno. But I have noticed that it is incredibly easy for the charging cord to come unplugged.

Are you just sitting there staring at the red light or have you tried using it at all?

It's working now thanks to Sena. This is what they had me do:

Could you please connect your main unit to a charging source to show that the charging LED is on and then do a Fault Reset?

FAULT RESET:
When the SMH10 is not working properly or is in faulty status for any reason, you may reset by pushing the pin-hole reset button at the back of the headset main unit. Insert a paper clip into the reset pinhole and press the reset button for a second with light pressure. The SMH10 will be switched off, and you have to turn the system back on and try again. However, this will not restore the headset to factory default settings.

Please let me know if you are able to turn it on.
