I'm sure someone else has thought of this but did someone call them and make sure they know we are coming? With the Cowboys game tonight i'm sure it's gonna be packed in there.

It's pre-season! We'll just wear our "Eff the Cowboys" shirts.

I'll rock my Eagles gear.

On a serious note, I am completely exhausted and when I get home I'm napping. If I nap through bike night it's not my fault.

Give out your number, and we will all call you.

Repeatedly.

If you do not wake up, it will get only worse... and trust me, some of us know a thing or two about telephone systems. :-)

Expect the UnExpected!
Almost home tonight - Riding on Collins Street here in Arlington, North of 30, right hand lane. Dark part of the road, 2 people walking on the sidewalk. I'm puttering along about 35~40, I look at the 2 walking and look back in front of me. Dumbass in dark blue truck - NO LIGHTS is turning out of the parking lot, making a left in front of me. 10' in front of me. Panic reaction I squeeze the front brake - lock the front tire - it screetchs, loudly. Oh shit - don't lock up the front tire! so I let go of the brake and it's enough, I squeek by behind it. Then I pull into the gas station at Brown street and wait for the shakes. No shakes, I go the 2 miles home OK.
No Shakes.
No Stoppie.
No Custom front end.
No Shit.
1 flat spot on tire.

What is it about driving without the lights on? I don't get it. I see so many people doing that I just want to take the truck and ram em. Idiot's.

1 flat spot on tire .... priceless! I know, it happens when you don't think it will. That's why we work on learning control and a cool head. Glad you used both and avoided (barely) an ugly situation.

We all need to remember that riding at night means you're LESS visible and in all likelihood, you're on the road with people that have been drinking. Glad you pulled it together and didn't have to sit too long to regain normal breathing.

Hope everyone makes it home OK tonight and I BET your ride wasn't as nice as mine through the country! :-)

Home, safe and sound... we had quite a fun ride on the way back to Dallas!

Thanks for the congrats, guys!

CrazyKuban and Avi: waiting for you guys on the other side!!!

Karl: thanks for the SMS! and very thankful you didn't bite it. Tires are easy to fix, you aren't... I don't know about the headlight thing, but I do know that we had a "debunked" urban legend turn true in oklahoma, where people shot at you for blinking your lights at them for their lack of headlights. Be careful out there!
