Looks like for people who don't pay attention to their brakes are getting a free master cylinder out of the deal.

For the older bikes that's a pretty big deal to get new brakes.

That could explain why my brakes need to be bled constantly.

Probably not. Mine did the same thing until CycleWerkz pressure bleed them. Since then they have been fine. It's been over a year. I would still get it fixed if your bike is included in the recall.
