pc help needed
Heres a question thats driving me crazy
I'm working with autocad inventor. I click on an option that opens a dialog window for entering additional parameters.
For some reason, the window opens off the screen as shown in the attachment. I cant enter the required information and I cant drag it down
I've tried changing the resolution of the screen then opening the window again but no matter what the resolution is the window is always off the screen.
I tried rotating the display but no luck.
I reduce the size of the autocad window and open the dialog window - but it always positions itself off the screen.
I was about to delete autocad and reinstall but my install disc is damaged so until i get it repaired i dont dare.
Does anyone have any suggestions on how to fix this weird issue?

Re: pc help needed
Check your settings for dual monitors. I've seen where a ghost second monitor existed, and caused a similar issue.

Re: pc help needed
If you make the window active, and then hold down the Windows key and press the left or right arrow, it should move the window to the side of the screen.

Re: pc help needed
thanks for the quick replies. but still no luck. i confirmed there is only 1 display, and while holding down the windows key the arrow keys only affect the text boxes.

Re: pc help needed
click on you window menu or view menu and tell it to cascade your tiles, that might fix it.
Random stuff I say:
Women are like square roots, if they're under 17 you just have to do them in your head.
What would you be if you were attached to another object by an incline plane, wrapped helicly around an axis?

Re: pc help needed
what if you resize the main windows so that it does not fill the screen, then open the dialog box?

Re: pc help needed
ah. missed that step.
Another thing to try, with the window active, hit alt-space, then M, then you should be able to use the arrow keys to move the window. Not sure if the dialog window will have the menu that open with the alt-space trick.
