Post by Grinner » Thu Aug 01, 2013 11:41 am

Another event.
Texas Mile will be making another run on Oct 25-27 this year. Im in the works to go make some runs. Figured Id post up and see who all might want to get in on this and go play or just hang out for the weekend and enjoy some insane speeds.
Id be open for two extra on my ticket for pit crew if you would like to spectate, help out, and enjoy a funfilled weekend.

Registration opens on Sunday, August 11th @ 2pm.

Visit The Texas Mile for all information you need.
:D

08/01/13 - As of right now I am awaiting some information on registration and class rule specifics. After I hear back I will be working on getting things in order and getting ready for registration.

Sounds good.
It'd be interesting to get a time for a wide open mile from a standing start. FWMR rides have always been wide open from an 80mph start, for multiple miles. Or when a Honda gets in the way.

What's the cost of this? When I looked into it once years ago it wasn't exactly cheap.

Current update...Was doing some research yesterday and prices from the spring run came out to be...

Registration fees..
$200 for 1-day
$295 for 2-day
$400 for 3-day

These are approximate based on what I recall from yesterday (I have slept since then).

The other thing I noticed is that registration is limited. If you are even thinking about taking a run at this, make sure you visit the Texas Mile Registration Link and read up on all info to make sure you will be ready in time.

Registration officially opens August 11 @ 2pm for the Oct 2013 run.

More updates to follow as I receive information.

The Texas mile has added three events a year to their calendar. A bi-annual 1 mile event in Houston called the US mile just like the Texas mile in Beeville and an annual half mile "Aero & Auto" event also in Houston.

I have not been yet, but the closer drive will be nice.
