Doesn't look like Lonestar has any planned for the new track...

That's not suprising. They only run at tracks that the CMRA races at. Give them a year or 2 to get the track more established and the CMRA might start racing there.

Yeah, didn't they say phase one was just the seamed track, and phase 2 (after a year or so), they'd be adding the seamless surface overlay?

Yeah, I guess there was only 5 at MSR last year. So just 1 less this year.

I thought the seamless part was going to be done in March.

April. From the News part of the Eagle Canyon website:

Many different Pro drivers and riders are scheduled to test the course over the next 30 to 45 days. Upon completion of the curbs and barriers the track is planned to officially open around the first part of March. There will be a short hiatus in April (weather dependant) to lay the polymerized top coat of the racing surface. This will take about a week.

MSR new section?

Post by tracykyleharris » Thu Jan 11, 2007 3:05 pm

Soooooo, Is RideSmart not doing the new tighter section at MSR due to all the crashes they had a the last TD there back in the fall? I ride a SuperMoto and the tight section is the best part for me :(

I'm looking forward to riding ECR, but it's looks like it's going to be a really fast paced track. Not so much fun on the old SuMo.

Ridesmart has removed the Eagles Canyon track day from the schedule and replaced it with MSRC on March 26. Full track.

Guess Eagles Canyon is not going to be done by then.

They may already be filled up. I got this number from the bottom of their web page. Give it a try: 512.469.9491

The best thing to do would be to check on RideSmart's web site. That way you can get in touch with them directly.

It is not on the RideSmart schedule yet, but the email Dave sent out for the Sept. 17th Track Day has a Nov. 5th MSR Cresson event listed, 1.7 mile track, $100.

Might be one more opportunity to get out and ride.
