Video posting question

I have an MP4 video, about 139MB large, only about a minute and 8 seconds long. Tried downloading to site last night, just like any other file in a post. It ran for probably 6-7 hours but never finished. Did I just not allow enough time, or is there another problem?

Wayyyy toooooo big, you'll need to compress the hell out of it or put it up on streaming media like youtube then link it
