Moderate Ride - Saturday, Oct. 18 (after AAH is finished)

Post by dufremle » Tue Oct 14, 2014 12:07 pm

I will be leading a ride this Saturday after the AAH Cleanup is finished. We will be leaving from the McAnally Intermediate School parking lot. I will post more details when I have them so check this thread.

We will be heading down FM5, through Weatherford and on to the Malt Shop for lunch. From there we will make a short run around Lake Weatherford and back toward town. This will not be a long ride as I have plans later in the afternoon. We will be leaving as soon as the cleanup is done, so show up and help us get done sooner.

Date: Saturday, October 18, after the AAH cleanup is done
Place: McAnally Intermediate School
Level: Moderate

If you're not actually controlling what the bike does then it's not a stunt. A stunt in my book is making the bike do what you want it to do when it doesn't want to or shouldn't be able to do it. Burnout with the front wheel against a wall, not a stunt, burnout while rolling down the road at 40mph, stunt.

I open the throttle and the front wheel comes off the ground (it doesn't come up by itself so I am indeed controlling it) now setting it down, that's a different story.

ah, but opening the throttle and the front wheel coming up is something the bike wants to do, you just allow it. It's the keeping it up, not flipping, and setting it back down when you want it to, THAT is the stunt.

General consensus is no, you are lacking the required skill sets.

Thanks for leading dufremle. Was good to see everyone and was a great day to ride. I stopped by a friends house after the ride, and visited for a bit, then went and did some more riding. Back down 2871, Aledo Rd., Muir Rd, Bear Creak, 171, 377, and 1187 back toward home. It was a great day to be out riding.
