Should the "Happy Birthday" threads stop?

Yes, it is annoying and takes up half of the BS forum.

No, I love knowing that people noticed the spot at the bottom of the page that said that it is my birthday.

Remember not to wish Stardog84 Happy Birthday.

Wait, maybe I'll do it just to piss him off. :D

A separate forum area for that so if you don't wish to ever see it then you don't subscribe to it maybe.

Yeah, I can't decide if he's had some bike issues and not getting to ride much and as such just getting grouchy, or he's simply noticed how old he's getting and doesn't want to be reminded. :HeadScratch:

Stardog, CELEBRATE them brother, celebrate! I'm tickled as hell to count every one I have. :)

this reminds me of cake vs pie, something tells me this may live forever

I'm at the age where every birthday just reminds me that I'm getting older, I'm not at the age yet where I'm happy to say hell yea survived another one!

Pie! No wait, cake. Uh, maybe blueberry muffins?

Seriously, try some homemade sopapilla cheesecake sometime.

Well, you do have to be sharp enough to play that game. :D

Seriously, I play that a lot, but I agree as far as uselessness goes, that one tops the list.

BUT, if it's how some people choose to participate...

There has been some grumbling about Motorcycle Superstore Deal of the Day as far as that goes, but some people occasional find it useful. Maybe everyone gets the email for all I know.

And maybe, just maybe, some people take offense to the rate at which others post??? I know, hard to imagine, right?

Jim, I'll be right there. :-)

Frankly, the forum needs an ignore button. Move the bday threads into a group, ignore the group. Ignore the DoD thread, word association etc. That way the people who don't care about threads coming up can ignore them, while the people that want them can keep them.

Other than finding it highly annoying(keep posting in that thread, it won't kill me), it has messed up your "most participated thread" count. I would really like to know what other thread i've talked the most in, but now that one is at the top and i will never know.

Just read the posts you want to read, then click on 'mark forums read' and be done with it.

Nope. Not the same. Because then when I log in, I see new comments indicated in a forum, only to find our it's in a post I don't have any interest in.

We should check again. It's pretty cool. Very popular option on another forum I participate on.

I do not. It's beechtalk.com if you want to see what site they use. They serve 30,000 members though, and is a revenue generating site for the admins. Definitely a step up from this forum, but when you're dealing with guys who own $$$$$$ airplanes, it's gotta be top notch.

And not digging on this one, it works great for what we need!
