So it requires a magnetic track to ride on? Doesn't seem much different than any maglev train that has been around since the 70's, except now Santa can bring one home to every rich kid for Christmas instead of a regular toy train set.

It does require some form of a track but I don't believe it has to be magnetic any ferrous track should do. I'ts been over a decade since I've messed with this technology, lexas was the first to produce a hoverboard that works on this scale, I will give them credit for that. But if you think your gonna fork out and go flying down a sidewalk, think again.
