March 31 - Eagles Canyon Trackday Give away

Post by DarcShadow » Wed Mar 12, 2008 2:27 pm

We've got another Ride Smart track day coming up and we're giving away a free track day for it.

This give a way is for the March 31 running at Eagles Canyon. It can not be transfered to another event or person. If you win but find you can not make it let us know and we will have a runner up drawing.

Drawing will be held March 18th around 8:00. The plan is to give those that don't win time to still register and pay for a track day if they wish to go.

As usual, answer these 3 questions for your chance to win.

1) What...is your name?
2) What...your quest?
3) What...is your favorite color?

Oh wait, wrong questions, how about these:

A) What is your favorite track configuration at the Motorsport Ranch?
B) What do you fear about running a new track like Eagles Canyon?
C) What do you look forward to the most about running a new track like Eagles Canyon?

A) Counter-clockwise, 3.1 mile

B) Running off the long straights - oh, the blind corners as well... those take some getting used to.

C) The long straights... and the elevation changes.

I) Sir Galahad, of Camelot.
II) I seek the Grail.
III) Blue. No, Yelloooooooooooooo

I will be absent from both the Western and Northern hemispheres for the last week of March, so I'll let these be my actual drawing answers. :)

A) What is your favorite track configuration at the Motorsport Ranch? Um, clockwise original 1.7 mile.
B) What do you fear about running a new track like Eagles Canyon? Probably just not being familar with the track. I hear there is one particular corner that is is quite unsettling.
C) What do you look forward to the most about running a new track like Eagles Canyon? New track, New surface. A chance to apply what I have learned on more familar tracks to a track I have never ridden. From what I have seen it looks to be a pretty fast track and well-suited for a 1000.

A) I really like the new track and would love to run just that on it's own some time. Only problem with that is the run offs are not quite up to par yet and going off track can be a bit hairy.

B) Biggest fear about any new track is th setup of it and it's readyness for hard use. Have the worked out all the bugs in the design/layout, is there something specific I should watch out for, are the run offs safe. Those kind of questions are my big concern.

C) Same things that can be a concern also make the track exciting. New turns, little oddities in the track, track oddities I've not expereced before. All make for an exciting time.

I can't take off yet another vacay day that Monday... but honestly I'm not entering because everyone always complains that I win :-) :-) :-)

FireBalls, If you win, it's purely by chance. You would be amazed at the lengths we go to to make this as unbiased as possible!

I'll post up the winner in a few minutes.

THE NUMBERS ARE IN! With only three of you guys able to go, it makes for a REAL exciting drawing.

Sorry, Digi ....

JAY HAS FIRST SHOT with Darc as the runner up if he can't do it. Post up, Jay, if you can make it. I'll pass the word on to Dave as soon as I hear.
