Motorcycle Trauma Training for first responders
Motorcycle Trauma Training for first responders
At this point I'm just putting out a feeler to gauge interest, nothing is arranged at this time.
I've been in contact with a Motorcycle Trauma training org that is local, here is there website:
http://www.motorcyclisttraumacare.org/
It's first responder training specific to motorcycle trauma, I have not taken this course myself but I have had other first responder training.
The class is $75 with a minimum of 6 people and usually a maximum of 10, we can go to them (Carrollton) or if we can setup a space for them to work they can come to us, I'm in favor of goign to them since they are local to DFW.
If we can get enough people to sign up I intend on going to this training - full disclosure I don't know if this is any good I have not attended this course, personally if I could I would complete full EMT training abut that's not in my future, if this course is good I will go back and complete advanced and professional level courses.
I would like to encourage first responder training for anyone on two, too many times I hear the repeated "don't move them" and "don't remove their helmet" cliche's over and over and this is sometimes NOT the correct course of action, it's simply the "repeat bro science" passed around the internet and among groups.
First come first served if there is a lot of interest so post up if your wanting to attend and I'll continue to work on the arrangements if we have enough interest:

Nothing is planned just gauging interest, if no more than 3 are interested there is no point in planning anything.dufremle wrote:Depending on when it is I'm interested.

Re: Motorcycle Trauma Training for first responders
I'm interested, but most of my October is filled and some of September. $75 seems like a good price to me, I thought it would cost more.
