Re: Most recent purchase thread!
A 2x4 under the door once you push it up will fix that. Also garage door openers are fairly cheap these days and not hard to install yourself.

and a garage door is a hell of lot heavier than you realize when the spring is busted.

Its heavy but that's what all those dead lifts and squats are for. Then the 2x4 wedged under to keep it up and bam.... bike is free!

Re: Most recent purchase thread!
Those have been known to cause electrical interference when used in license plate applications. If you have issues when reversing, remove those and try again. Probably OK unless you spend a lot of time in reverse.

Re: Most recent purchase thread!
Electrical.... I already said that..... dang....
No we've seen them interfere with systems on the vehicle that are not electrically shielded. Most of the LAN and other highly sensitive signals are shielded, but most monitoring wire systems are not. We've seen issues with radio, backup sensors, camera's, fuel pump monitoring signals, air bag monitoring signals, etc. Actually bought a vehicle back over one of these installed in a camaro. However, most systems don't run monitoring except for every now and again, so using it only in reverse shouldn't cause an issue, unless you're just unlucky. Also, don't know how Toyota's deal with these circuits, so they may not be as sensitive. It wouldn't cause an issue per se, but the vehicle would throw a code, or the screen would be fuzzy.

Re: Most recent purchase thread!
Pooty had a Camaro bought back from him over electrical issues with no LEDs necessary. Apparently the look on the salesman's face was pretty priceless when the replacement Camaro wasn't able to make it off of the lot before experiencing the same issues. Actually given the nature of the issues it wasn't able to make it out of its parking space. I used to have a Camaro. It was beautiful, it was fun, it was fast, and it had all of the electrical issues typical of a Chevy from its era. I also had a run out old high mileage Ford at the time that I drove when the Camaro was broken. Nearly a decade later the Ford broke down and I sold it.
