f that. I have done a fair amount of diving but never any caves- no way in hell could i do it, I would get the jitters for sure.

We dove a wreck in about 60 feet of water off san diego my buddy had done a bunch of times. he started to go in and I took my reg out and mouthed 'fuck that, i am not going in there'. He understood exactly what i said and made fun of me for years. anytime a line was too long, a store was closed, a door was locked --- fuck that, i am not going in there...

I have some video of a sidemount cave here in Texas but it was shot with a gopro so it kind of sucks. All of the good diving was done without cameras and video just because how much of a pita it is to do that.

Cave diving is a pretty awesome experience. Now, I enjoyed it for a different reason than Rick. I will never do it again because Rick can't do it. It is not my passion like it was his but I understand why he was so passionate about it. I am sad that he can't do it anymore because I know how it affected him and it had a positive effect on him. It is what it is. I am glad I had the chance to experience it.
