Ran off in the truck? Was the trailer trying to steer for you?

How bad was the damage to the truck and trailer after you hosed off the mud?

Truck bed is messed up pretty good but no damage to the cab, wheel got ate up it will need replaced and bumper is half torn off, best I can tell no damage to the front end.

Trailer is probably trash, it's beat to shit and the wheel mount/axle is bent, some of the re-enforcement beams warped and bent, that's pretty impressive.

GS got a real nasty gash in the front rim, throttle tube is missing rubber, there is a very slight bend in the sub frame and/or luggage rack and it ripped the custom rear box off the tail mount

Nope, and all the cop had to say was "Oh they are probably long gone by now" - to which I say bull shit because that was the only FedEx piggy back trailer we saw in 1000 miles so not hard to pick them out of a crowd and no doubt Fedex trucks are GPS tracked.

Damn, that's a lot of damage. Guess you can get a lawyer and see if they can find out who was driving the truck. Probably not worth it, though. Are you going to try to turn it into your insurance?

This really sucks, I imagine you were quite upset. Sorry. When I was forced off the road by an 18 wheeler I was lucky enough to be able to stay an inch or two ahead of him. I felt like he had no concern for my life and I will only talk off line about my response to that driver.... Today I will say that I am glad that I was not armed at the time!

For a fact, that time, that place...they know which truck and which driver.

Seeing as I drove trucks for a good long while I know for sure that they could tell you really quick what truck and driver it was. The company keeps track of all trucks at all times with GPS. If you are going to go off the scheduled route by more than a few miles you have to let them know ahead of time and give a reason or they would be calling you to find out. We had a system in the truck that we would reroute for traffic and such and it would send the new route to our dispatcher. Anyway the point is that the company could have had that information in seconds.

Aww crap!..That does suck. Very sorry to hear this Rick, however, I'm glad that nobody was injured.

Put the rear bag back on, there are very minor bends here and there, nice gash in the front rim that won't affect function, and a strip of rubber missing out of the throttle grip.

A good bath and she's back to being street able so nothing major
