I'm new!!

Post by mikeyboy87 » Wed Apr 29, 2009 6:37 am

Hello everyone!! I was referred to this site by bmgcya from cbrforum.com. I just bought an old 96 CBR 600 with a lot of life left in her. Just got it a couple of weeks ago. I'm working on getting it street legal. It was from California originally so I have to get it inspected and stuff for Texas. I'm also pretty new to the sport bike scene. So let me know whats up!!

Welcome to the boards.

Bike Scene - depends what you are into.

Riding fast and safe - you've come to the right place. We can definately give you some advice, and show you the best roads the outer metro has to offer.

getting on a track - still the right place. We have a long term well established relationship with RideSmart Track School and the other track instruction businesses in the area. There are 2 tracks within an hour or two drive, depending on where you live. We even have some amature licensed racers, and even more people with track experience.

stunting - this is where you will probably want to find another group. We dont stunt together as a group at all. I know there are a few who like to wheelie, and endo, but they try to keep that away from our group rides for the safety of everyone.

Hope you are looking for one of the first two options, and look forward to meeting you, and seeing you on a ride or at a bike night.

Welcome to the boards, Michael. You might want to clear off some time this weekend to come out and meet some of the group out at Benbrook for our annual campout/party. See the Open Events thread for information.

Welcome man.
I have as yet to ride with these guys, but they seem a cool lot.

Hey man welcome to the boards. This is a great group of people to ride with, and they aren't kidding when they say that they know the best roads to ride anywhere around here. =)

Welcome to the boards man...

It took me forever to meet anyone from here other than the guy who told me about the site. So long infact, i think they were beginning to think i was a bot or the figment of someones imagination.. or maybe someones stalker ex trying to keep dibs on them.. who knows..

Yep, The Gap is definately a STALKER!! :-) I heard about somebody that fit his description that could actually RIDE! ... Must have been somebody else using the same name. :))

If you haven't been on the track lately, watch out for The Stalker in the WHITE leathers!!... he'll come by you like a whirl-wind and NEVER look back.

BEWARE OF THE STALKER!!

Bird, I'm beginning to think your right. I actually know they guy. You want to talk about stalking... Should have seen him with the chicks he used to bring to pint night. Stalked them like crazy, LOL :-) :JKSign:

And yeah, he always talks about riding, but I don't think I've ever seen him ride.

And whats the deal, I haven't talked to the guy in a year, I end up on the forums here, and all of the sudden he's on here talking to me? :HeadScratch: :-(

:-)
