Weather.com is currently showing 40% chance of thunderstorms. Check this post prior to heading out Saturday morning... if the weather gets crappy the ride may be cancelled.

Meet @ Sonic in White Settlement 8:15ish, riders brief 8:50, depart 9:00.
Lunch at a burger joint about 150 miles out, then about another 100 miles back to town. We should be back by 3 or 4.

I'm really glad I found you guys. Now that the weather has improved, there seems to be a ride posted almost every weekend.

Of the other clubs I have ridden with, one group only plans a ride for the third Saturday of each month. If the weather is nasty, then it's another month before they go out. The other group goes to dinner together each Tuesday evening and rarely puts together weekend rides.

This is going to be fun.

That being said, I won't always know very far in advance whether or not I can join you; my wife and I have a lot going on right now. However, I have really enjoyed the two Moderates and the one Intermediate ride I have been on, along with the two bike-nights I have attended.

Especially when the wifey is in class all day every other Saturday, leaving me with nothing to do but go ride... hey, it's a tough life, but whatcha gonna do?

You don't need to post up on whether you'll be able to make it or not; it's just nice to have a rough headcount to know how big of a group to expect. It's not like we'll kick you out if you show up without prior notice!

although, if the ride leader is expecting you, and you havent shown up, he might wait an extra couple minutes just in case you are late. So in that respect, its good to post up if you are reliable.

Yeah, I can't imagine saying I'm coming, and then not showing up. At least not without calling.

The first club I rode with (cruiser club) was very strict regarding KSU. If you showed up two minutes late, we were gone. And we never allowed anyone to call and ask the entire group to wait because they were running behind. That was just not tolerated. You were expected to show up on time with a full gas tank and an empty bladder.

Please, don't ever wait on me. If I want to ride, I will extend everyone the courtesy of being punctual.
