May Half-off Trackday Give Away

Post by DarcShadow » Mon Mar 29, 2010 12:47 pm

Answer the 3 questions for a chance to win half off a trackday/school with Ride Smart. There are 3 trackdays scheduled for April all at ECR. The winner gets to pick which track day they want to go to.
May 8th TWS (Saturday)
May 9th ECR (Sunday)
Mat 24th MSR (Monday)
May 31st TWS (Monday)

This is non transferable so if you win and find out you can't make it let us know asap so that a second winner can be drawn. Drawing will be held 9:00am Monday, April 19th.

1) How far is too far? What is the longest distance you have ridin in a single day?
2) What would you consider a comfortable distance for a day ride?

1) How far is too far? What is the longest distance you have ridin in a single day?
Over 500 miles. I've gone just over 400 miles and it was not fun.

2) What would you consider a comfortable distance for a day ride?
200 to 300 miles.

3) Add a caption to the following image:
Speed through sound technology.

1) How far is too far? What is the longest distance you have ridin in a single day?
Varies from person to person... Whenever you start to get tired or lose your concentration on the road. I've done 1060 in a day, and for me, yeah, that's a bit too far.

2) What would you consider a comfortable distance for a day ride?
Depends on a lot of factors... group or solo? Railing or relaxed pace? All about the riding, or stopping to sightsee as well? In general, I'd say around 3-400 miles.

3) Add a caption to the following image:
"...and boy, does it TICKLE when that subwoofer kicks in!"

2) What would you consider a comfortable distance for a day ride?
250 to 500 miles.

1) How far is too far? What is the longest distance you have ridin in a single day?
When you have not seen a gas station or any signs of life for at 100 miles and you run out of petrol.
1000+ mile day on 3 seprat occasions.

2) What would you consider a comfortable distance for a day ride?
600 to 700 miles makes for a good day, much more than that and fatigue really starts kicking in.

3) Add a caption to the following image:
Time to get their attention. New omni directional horn is hitting show room floors. Garanteed to do 3 things; let the car next to you know they are getting too close, interupt other driver's cell phone calls and texting, and make small children cry or your money back.

On a completely seperate note about the picture for a caption, were the heck did they move the intake to. That is a Kawasaki and the intake is typically right were that center speaker on the nose is now located.

1) How far is too far? What is the longest distance you have ridin in a single day?
580 miles in one day, riding out to show off my first bike (Katana) to my folks and then back again. Learned first important lesson about riding. Stopping only when you're nearly out of fuel is painful on your butt.

2) What would you consider a comfortable distance for a day ride?
I can go 300-350 miles in a day as long as the stops occur frequently enough (stop for 15 mins every hour), or 200-250 miles of road warrior riding.

3) Add a caption to the following image:
Team Kawasaki will try anything these days for a MotoGP win.

1) How far is too far? What is the longest distance you have ridin in a single day?
Probably over 600 miles, never really done any really long distances, so I'm not entirely sure for me. The furthest i've ridden is probably 300 miles or so. Not really sure, never really kept track.

2) What would you consider a comfortable distance for a day ride?
300 is proabably a good number, but it really depends on how your riding. Commuting / long distance travel 400 to 500 would probably be alright.

3) Add a caption to the following image:

This guy has got his head up is arse, and even he knows it. He mounted the tv on the front of the pillion so he'd be able to watch it.
