TWS this weekend, 6/19

Post by shilka99 » Wed Jun 16, 2010 5:39 pm

So will anyone else be going to TWS this weekend? I'm thinking I may head down and do the afternoon sessions. This is another new track for me. Any hints on gearing? I hear this track is faster than Cresson and ECR.

I am not; I'm booked all weekend. I've never ridden TWS (though I really want to!), but I know it is a very fast track. I'd suggest jumping on youtube and searching for some videos to help learn the track (here is a nice one with a datalogger). Have a blast!

Nice find, thanks Kegan.
I'll also see how the new training material works to train me on a new track!

It's a pretty easy track to learn but like all tracks can require a life time to master. As Sckego said, it is a very fast track, a 600 can easily top out 5th and push 6th pretty far on the front straight. The only catch is the transistion from the tri-oval straight to the infield track. There's a very small space to hit to make everything flow nice and smooth, if you miss it there is a bit more of a bump that is not fun when you're doing 120+.
