I'm glad you guys have had your radiators fixed and I will be lookin into a rad cover too!!! As for the ride it was pretty slow except for the last part and I did see some peoplea bit timid on the ride . I like flying with jeff and Terry , and if I had my way we would ride our bike like we did before the track all the time!!!!!! I had a freekin blast
As I shifted into sixth , I couldn't remember a thing she said !!!!!!!!!I just want to ride !!!!

I was wondering if I made it to the fast part of the intermediate ride, I was the one that dropped off at the gas station with radiator problems. Was the fast part of the ride right befor that, or after I split off? I am just wondering, so that I may get a feel for the actual intermediate pace that everyone is talking about.rnbcbr1000 wrote:I would agree with Jim, that last section before getting to the track is how an intermediate ride normally goes. If at any time you feel you are going too fast, then you probably are. Back it down a click, we will wait on everyone at the next stop.
Also, remember that the best way to get better(faster) is to learn from others that are better than you. By all means ride your own ride but, following guys like Jeff and Terry only makes all of us better riders in the end
Pace & Leaks
Pace- For me I would consider the ride a slow intermediate pace. Slow in the straights and even pace through the corners. It was fun but the route was really straight.
Leaks - I had not had my R1 for 300 mile and picked up two rocks and leaks in the radiator. The bad part about it was I was 20 miles from any town and the radiator dumped most of it;s water. I had to bum a ride and get a jug of water and some stop leak at the cross roads. It was fine and no leaks going home. I had two good sized holes in the radiator and being the handy man I am at times fixed it myself. Just took all the stuff off and brazed the holes, tested it and it was good. I promptly ordered a guard from Cox and have had it on since it works great. It even shielded of a bird this past weekend. I saw it go in and a puff of feathers come out. When I got home there was part of a beak and leg hanging in the guard. Good Job. LOL
Enjoyed riding with you guys. I will come again.

Yeah, you really could have freaked me out had to decided to fuck with me a little, instead of just telling me what really happened. I probably would have gotten a ticket on 360 though had you done that because I would have been testing my governor and there was that there. I was pumped up enough just knowing it was a radiator leak.Firewa11 wrote:Heh, yeah, he's talking about his radiator bleeding... although I did freak out Blizz when I called her requesting she bring her truck to pick up a bike!

Meat of Snail, the fastest part was following the first fuel stop so if you broke off after that then you missed it. I don't remember when you broke off I was too busy freezing my ass off.

If you're not riding on the edge, you're taking up too much space.
