My new religion!!

Post by fireblade » Wed Dec 01, 2010 1:43 pm

Pastafarian

I get to dress like a pirate.
Random stuff I say:
Women are like square roots, if they're under 17 you just have to do them in your head.

What would you be if you were attached to another object by an incline plane, wrapped helicly around an axis?

Jediism is much older. It started a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away.

I thought Jedi was a hereditary thing, not a religion.

Only if you buy into that Midichlorian mumbo-jumbo.

Anything starring Jar-Jar Binks is a bunch of hooey, if you ask me. :)

Who knows maybe there are a few Jedi in the club you never know
Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body; but rather to skid in sideways thoroughly used up, totally worn out and yelling at the top of your lungs "Holy Shit...What a ride!"

No, midichlorians in the blood that makes one sensitive to the force is the heredity thing. Without training to use the midichlorians to access the force, light side or dark side, is the training... and the practice of exercising values is a Jedi or Sith thing.

the Jedi have even had wars with other religions such as the Sith and so just like most religions, they fought over different beliefs. Ya can't be a religion if you don't go to war over your differences :)

Pastafarians don't wage war so much as send out raiding parties. :)

The Sith can't be a religion, it's only two guys at any one time.

Maybe so, but they would be like deacons or the pope. The sith following is great, just look at the number of storm troopers, ect.

na, they didn't have a choice, they were all cloned to obey the Jedi, and the Sith took them over.

Actually the Sith were an entire population and are considered followers. The doctrine of only two was introduced, but not everyone agreed :) It's like baptist and southern baptist :) :icon_star-wars-smiley-023:

Actually, even if one person believes something, that's enough for a religion. You don't have to have X amount of followers for it to be officially someone's religion.

As El Diabro said, the Sith are followers of the New Sith Empire, which was ultimately destroyed. When the Sith rebuilt, they implemented the rule of two, with the apprentice killing the master to take their place. This was to ensure that each new master was stronger than the last.

There are also Dark Jedi... who either fell or chose the dark side, but don't fall under the exclusive rules of the Sith. Kinda like you can chose to be evil, but you don't have to belong to an evil organization.
