MSR-Cresson video?

Post by sckego » Mon Mar 19, 2007 11:51 am

One week till my first trackday! Woohoo! Anyone have any on-board footage of the Cresson track that they could share? I belive the 3.1 mile configuration is what is going to be what's run on Monday, so if you have a lap or two of that, it would be much appreciated...

Also, where do you guys normally set up shop? I rode down there on Sunday to check it out and make sure I knew where it was... at the T intersection, should I hang a right towards the smaller pit area and pavillion/control tower, or to the left towards the larger parking area? Thanks for any info.

Make a left at the T. The area to the right is the paddock area and they won't let you set up there. We usually set up either under the pavilion or right across from the main building entrance.

The Motorsport Ranch web page has a video of each track in both directions.

http://www.motorsportranch.com/MSR-Video.cfm

The video shows real good lines too, a couple of the turns are a little different for bikes then cars, but for the most part the line in the video is a good line for a bike too. Expecially the lines he takes in the new section. A lot of people want to follow the road rather then the ideal racing line. Once section you really have to force yourself to take the race lane, you naturally want to follow the little twist of the track.

This here is a great video, it has the named sections of the track overlayed... not necessarily the best lines but good video :)
