Tell us a little about yourself and say hello to the gang. We would like to hear about who, what, and why you ride as well as how you found us.

Englishman Abroad

Post by Skin » Sun Oct 09, 2011 9:43 am

I just found the website and decided to join.
I am from Essex in UK and visit Fort Worth 4 or 5 times a year on business with American Airlines and TAESL at AFW, usually staying for about a week. Although I won't be able to ride to the bike nights I will try to plan trips to be in town at the right times so I can meet you all and formally inturoduce myself. It will be nice to meet like minded people when I travel here.
I always stay downtown at The Ashton Hotel, so not far from the Pour House, and close to my favourite place, Fred's Texas Cafe.
i am in town now, but leave for home on Wednesday 12th, so won't be able to get there this time. Should be back December/January.
At home I ride an R1, which I bought new for myself for Christmas last year. I will post some pictures later.
I have ordered the 2012 50th anniversary R1 for delivery next May to coincide with my 50th birthday. This will be with the special 50th anniversary paint job.
I have been riding for about 17 years now.
Not much more to tell y'all. Hope to meet you soon.

Glad to see we are becoming more internationally known! Welcome to the gaggle and look forward to meeting you. Shame that you will be leaving the day before bike night this week. Have a safe trip and look forward to more stories from your side of the pond and pics of your ride. Especially that 50th when you get it.

Howdy! Glad you found us! The group's a great bunch of people and I'm sure you'll enjoy yourself while you're here. Hopefully I can work something out with my classes next semester so I can meet you (I usually have class on Thursdays but make it out after every now and then). Funny that you do business with AA. My dad just retired from them.

Hope you have a safe trip and good luck with everything. We shall see you when you return.

Welcome to the club. During the winter months (Nov-Feb) we only have one bike night a month, the 2nd Thursday of the month. Hopefully that makes your schedule easier to plan. My mom works at the SRO for AA.
