Reason #1 why bikes are better than cars:

A bike doing 104, they won't even start to chase. Most cities around DFW have no-chase policies for bikes. Now a car, different story.

Take it to court.... if I am reading it proper .... the ticket says the car is a 2011 and if your vette is not a 2011 then the cop left you an out.

Yeah a buddy of mine tried that. Cop put on a 2006 and his was a 2009. The court just said "thanks, we'll update our records".

As far as I know it hasn't been rescheduled yet. They told me 6 months to a year before it gets to a judge.

I would just say that I own no such vehicle. Depends on the judge really unless you lawyer up. Now considering the speed and all I would probably go talk to a lawyer about it. I am sure it can be dismissed. "your honor I think he clocked that newer vette that shot past me.". :))

Talked to an attorney and he said we can definately get it reduced. Since teh office clearly got the vehicle wrong on the ticket that brings every other piece of information he gatheres into question also. If he gets one thing wrong how can we be sure he didnt miss something else.

The Cal time on the laser 11:17 while the time fo the ticket is 11:14

Attorney said since the guy was really nice and didnt take me to jail or even harass me he might have gotten the car wrong on purpose to give me a way out if I was smart enough to find it.

Seems like if I cop were to do that on purpose that would bring into question his own abilities as a good law enforcement officer. I mean, if a judge is constantly having to dismiss tickets an officer writes giving people 'outs', eventually, that would come back on the officer writing the tickets, wasting taxpayer money by doing such... each ticket written has to be processed, meaning multiple people have to have a hand into touching them, entering them into systems, processing them, etc... and then if they go to the court, the judge's time, the court's time, etc...

Eventually that officer is going to get disciplined by his superiors for not doing his job correctly...
