I don't know if they have any pictures. I am Dragonfly took some, if was there. I didn't go I had planned on it but I let Court have a friend spend the night, we got up late, and I was going to drive her home (her parents came for her) and if Fixxer was going to make the ride, I had to stay here so he could leave instead of waiting on me. Oh well, there will be plenty more club rides

A 5 hour ride IS a short ride!Bewst wrote:Sleeping in + BBQ invitation = no ride for me today. Do you guys ever do shorter rides with a beer stop in the middle?

Usually its a BBQ stop in the middle, not beer, beer and twisties are a real bad combo in my book.Bewst wrote:Sleeping in + BBQ invitation = no ride for me today. Do you guys ever do shorter rides with a beer stop in the middle?
A ride can't be too short, or you don't even have enough time to get to the good stuff.

Last stop in Hillsboro (I think) before heading home.
Thanks for leading Darc. Fun ride as always.

We already have enough people go flying off curves without adding beer to the mix.
Oh, that reminds me, I got to ride FM-51 twice on Saturday, going to the TWT pie run and back. On the way back somebody went off in that same curve that guy on the Hayabusa did, but going the other direction. He was fine though, no ambulance trip that time.

Yeah, I got the impression from the EMTs and cops that that is a pretty common place to wreck going north. They were actually surprised when we told them we were southbound when that guy went down.

When you're going north, that turn isn't marked as being as sharp as it is. It *looks* that sharp going in, but there's no handy yellow sign telling you a speed. If you're not paying attention it can suck you off into the grass.
