Nice... I'm just going to give you one piece of advice.

DON'T do your own oil change.. Have a professional do it.... You thought the oil change on the GSXR was expensive. :))

Not exactly.

It's like the oil change incident. When the job has gotten completely screwed up, it's time to call a professional.
He knows better ;)

Sweet, love the color too. Let the accessory spend begin (continue?)!

Exactly HOW are you gonna lead an intermediate ride: a) are you going to be all broken in by then, or b) are you going to ride one of the girly Suzuki's?

Did I say sweet yet?

I agree, just wasn't sure he was gonna be there yet. I'm guessing he rode down to Stephenville this weekend. To work maybe today? It pissed, poured and stormed here this morning...and may not be done.

He has a couple days off this week too but I doubt he will be riding since his mom will be visiting (we may ride to bike night).

I feel that I talk to miles too much because I find myself not proofreading what I type from my phone.

She won't ride with him! She doesn't even like him having a bike.

I plan to keep this bike mostly stock, the GSXR got pimped because it lacked a lot of the farkles that the RSV comes with stock and it doubled as my track bike, I may end up with a dedicated track bike.

How I'm going to lead an intermediate is an open question mark, I'm having issues with GPS/Fuzz busting right now on this bike and I will still be in the breakin period. I will for sure exceed the 5K max revs recommendation but I will have no choice but to soften the ride up. My biggest concern right now is GPS and radar, without a GPS I can't get to the roads I want to ride easily.

It's also running standard shift pattern, I"m waiting on the GP conversion to come in from Italy, and standard shift pattern really messes with my head when I do anything other than cruising around.

will it go over 5k? The bimmer was limited to 9k from the factory until the first service and the go fast chip was installed.

I exceeded the recommended rev limit on mine at around 110 miles on advice from the Texas Aprilia distributor (Bobby at HSBK). Its been bounced off the limiter constantly since then but I also change the oil every 200 miles (every other track day).
I used Motul until the last change when I used Repsol synthetic and shifting immediately went to hell. I'm ordering Motul synthetic online right now.

Yes, I've already had it past 10K on R mode, just up and back as a test.

I was going to ask you about the oil, I've been using redline in the GSXR's with excellent results, not sure what to run in this thing.

Putting anything labeled repsol into an Italian beauty queen is wrong :))

Both Motul and Amsoil produce consistently excellent UOA results.
