Hah, yeah, first thing I noticed was British tatas :boobs:

As everyone said, take it easy out there on the track. Slickery stuff.

Not sure I'm going to make this or the Monday event anymore. Left my truck out last night at the top of the drive so I would be able to go into work in the morning and the damn thing won't start. Thought it might start when it warmed up but no luck yet. Was able to get it pushed down the drive and into the garage so we'll so how it goes tonight when I get home from work. :((

One single click. Talked to a shop today, they suggested banging on the starter with a hammer. Will give that a shot tonight when I get home.

Most likely a dead battery. Cold can kill a battery just like heat. Try jumping it. If it starts then it's a bad battery.

Yes, heat stress in the summer is what does them in when winter arrives and the there is more cranking stress due to crap being froze.

Agree with what they said. I've had multiple bike batteries do the exact same thing.

Step 1 for any electrical issue with a vehicle in TX - replace the battery. If that works, great. If not, it would have needed one soon anyway.

It's not the battery. Lights and everything comes on, battery is less than a year old. I did go try connecting a charger to it and tried when the charger said it was full, no joy, then tried jump it, no joy.

I would check the battery first (take it to autozone or whatever and have them check it) because its a good chance that the CCA on the battery could be to low. The thing could still have volts and all so lights would still come on but it don't have the amps to turn the starter in the cold. If that isn't it then try knocking the starter with a hammer but even if the starter is the problem the hammer deal isn't a sure thing to make it work but its worth a try. If you hit it with a hammer and that works then be sure to replace the starter asap. If you need any help let me know. Starters are not hard to replace at all and should take an hour or 2 at most.

Fair enough, if jumping doesn't work then it's not the battery. Smack stuff with a hammer until it either runs or you can make an insurance claim.

My bike battery said it was full too, but it was deader than a door nail. The gauge maybe reading a high internal resistance that it is interpreting as being full. Have it tested.

If the battery has a bad cell it could read a full charge but then short out under load. Have it tested. Starters don't usually fail without some warning. Unless the truck has had some slow starting issues before I'm still leaning toward bad battery.

I find it funny everyone here telling the EE about Batteries. Bang on it with a hammer until it works.
