I don't think so. I believe the only way it is legal is if the lead vehicle pulls over on the shoulder to allow you to make the pass. In fact, even in legal passing zones, if you exceed the speed limit while making the pass you can get a ticket. I know in Indiana, the actual letter of the law said you were not to pass people unless they were doing 5 or maybe 10 under the limit, and when you did pass you were not to exceed the posted limit.
Before I make any disparaging remarks about Hoosiers, is anyone here a member of that clan?
Sorry, went to high school in Kentucky for a while...Hoosier bashing is a state sanctioned sport.

Yeah, that part is truly mind-boggling. I suspect that this is at least in part due to the strong anti-biker sentiments among the cagers in this country.
I think this is a Texas thing.
I was amazed at how cagers were all about staying out of our way and letting us do our thing in Arkansas vs how the act here in Texas.
I think in Ark they seemed to have a good sense of how much money bikers pump into the economy, they were very inviting everywhere it seemed.
In Texas, we're just taking up space some jackwagon thinks they own. Little do they know I have the deed...I just couldn't afford the Terry's Lane sign.

Good way to get shot (castle law, and he's already crazy) or at least get very expensive lawyer bills. However if someone were to do it, I hope they record it.
Yeah, just people venting...kind of comical almost. See one of them and yell "boo" and see what happens.
