From what I understand, bills typically die in committee because the committee simply doesn't do anything, either because they to many other things, or it's just low enough on the priority and nobody cares enough to push it.

There is only 2 weeks left in session this year. If it is still in committee now it's pretty much dead. Better luck in 2013.

Maybe, if anyone remembers, we can get the word out early and try to get the bill moved forward.

Once it goes to committee, they have 1 week to review and vote and put it back to the floor. If it is not reviewed by committee in 1 week it is dead.

Well, it's been a couple of weeks and HB 2470 is a sitting duck in the senate. Just need to keep our eyes peeled come the next legislature to make sure it doesn't rear it's head again.
