The money is my problem. Socking as much cash as I can toward debt, I don't have the funds. I was hoping to be done paying that crap off, but with the money I had to dump into my car, that hasn't happened yet. So at the end of this Month, I'll make a decision to either afford Barber, or not to afford Barber, and sock cash to debt.

All told, it cost me about $1000 to go to Barber last year, between the track fee, hotel, and gas.

I would pay it again in a heartbeat.

Think of it this way:
Cresson is like masturbating
ECR is like masturbating with sandpaper
Barber is like a weekend of sex on tap with the most beautiful, skilled woman alive

Yes it is.

Go to Barber and you will understand what tracks are supposed to be like. Then you'll realize just how low-rent our local tracks are.

I have to agree with Rhino, I've been to Barber in my mustang for an SCCA event. Its like wiping you ass with silk, so much better.

The problem that's going to be with the austin track, it's going to be a bit big to be much fun on a street bike.

Yeah, Barber is special, but I still love the sh!t out of our local tracks. Besides, if you can be fast on Texas tracks, you can be fast anywhere.

Well, the end of the month has come and gone. Anyone ready to commit to going to Barber this year?

So it's Looking like it could just be you and I, DS. I know Grinner is a possible. You planning on going to the dragon the following week, etc? I'm ready to say lets go, but I need to figure out exactly how much cash I need to commit, and if trying to go to the dragon aftewards is a part of it, that's going to be a factor. I've already got the vacation booked, so It's only a matter of commiting the money and doing it.

I'm good to go to the dragon after, or not. Seems such a waste to be so close and not go but what ever works out.

As said, I've already got the vacation booked for that entire week after. What did you have in mind for the dragon, hotel, house, camping, etc.? I can check with Brian, to see if he's heading to the dragon, has a house and any room available.

If it was a larger group I'd of said house, just the two of us, checking with brian would probably be our cheapest option. Next choice would be a hotel/motel.

I'll reach out to Brian. I'll let you know. Once I've got a better idea of cost, i'll be able to say what I can do.

Last I talked to him (a few weeks ago at ECR), I think he said that they already made their reservations for the same house. You should be able to get in on that without any trouble.
