I don't like loading bikes into and out of the back of the truck, works in a pinch but thats not why I purchased a truck, I also don't want to mount wheel chocks/blocks into the bed because that will interfere with my ability to use it for other things, and for the reason it was purchased to begin with. Loading two bikes into the back is even more headache than loading 1.

I intend on hitting some of the other tracks next season so riding there for the track day, or the treehouse will not be an option.

Another example is my trips up east, I have no choice but to rent a trailer, the bed of the truck is full of guns, camping gear, cloths etc, then the bikes in tow.

Plus, if I go to like ruidoso, I'd rather trailer them accross the flat desert between here and there then ride them.

I also potentilaly have some non motorcycle uses for a trailer as well

I'm gonna have to let you down on this one, but I do intend on doing MORE track days next season, and I want to hit more of the out of towner tracks too, I love cresson but if I just run cresson over and over and nothing else, that makes me a better CRESSON rider, I want variety :D

Dude, if you can swing it you should buy the trailer that DarcShadow linked to in the For Sale forum. That thing is sweet, two bike enclosed trailer for $1900.

It crossed my mind, but I'm looking for simple and cheap, pulling enclosed trailers sucks fuel like no other. Buddy of mine has a "scuba trailer" with a compressor and all the trimmings, we thought it was the cats meow until I hauled a few (empty) enclosed trailers kicking around the idea of a scuba trailer, after I saw what they did to my fuel mileage I decided it wasn't a good idea, and that was using a diesel, would hate to see what a hemi would do, probably cause saudi to go dry.

I'm thinking utility trailer with wooden floor that I can bolt anchors and chocks too, and I have a welder if I need other simple mods.

Don't cheap out too much. Striple can tell you about the nerve-wracking anxiety of watching two of your babies get pulled along on a trailer that was clearly too small for the job.

And there are plenty of ways to secrue a bike in the back of the truck with out permentinly installed wheel chauks. Renting a trailer for two bikes sure, but just one is a waste of money.

That still comes back to the loading/unloading PITA, not all of us have a 45 degree angle drive way :D

9 foot ramp. No problem at all loading on a flat surface.

Seriously, best money I ever spent on making life easy with the motorcycle. Black Widow 9' ramps for $400 shipped. http://www.discountramps.com/black-wido ... e-ramp.htm" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

And I agree you don't have to bolt down a chock. Any free-standing chock can just sit in the bed. Its job is just to keep the wheel from kicking out sideways while you're driving. As long as you tied your bike down properly any free-standing chock will do that.

even a simple 6' ramp and good curb will do the job nicely. I'd load the bike into my truck from the yard at my old house. With the gate down and the real wheels against the curb there was only about a 8" rise from the grass to the gate.

according to my neighbor who's a motorcycle mechanic, it's the forks....oil has leaked out on them, and the rebound travel back up is non-existent.......

well I've reached out to Roger from On-road Off-road to see if he will have everything needed to fix this for me at the track, so I'll see what he says....I would love for him to do it and then he can make any adjustments as needed because he really did a great job with my suspension before. So if he can do it, and is willing to, and it won't break my small bank, then maybe I can still ride this weekend!!!

Well it was just me and Striple riding on saturday. Congratulations to Striple for completing the hat trick--he got Smoothest Rider. That makes it Diabro, myself, and Striple getting three in a row for the club in level 1. Good job man! :D

Oh, and Striple and I agree, the rest of you are a bunch of :-P . It wasn't *that* cold, and the track was only really slick for the round robin and the first session. After lunch the track really came in and a bunch of people had already gone home, so it was pretty traffic-free and a lot of fun.
