I don't understand how someone can think this is safe.

The chances of getting hit are just outrageous at that speed

That's like rolling dice, keep it up for long enough and eventually your number will come up.

Holy... I'd hate to see when his luck finally runs out.
No, Dad. You may not sell my bike nor may you turn it into your track bike.

At that speed it's not safe. But in normal traffic conditions (low speed, limited movement) and at a speed that makes sense to any sane person it's as safe as being in the open lane.

The bike he came up on about halfway through was doing it right--doing just a few mph faster than surrounding traffic.

Yea i just can't see why we can't get over this in Texas(when done correctly).

On that note i may or may not have been pulled over for doing it anyways :)

I'd bet he was only doing 30 mph or so. Just looks crazy stupid fast due to the camera angles and he closeness of the vehicles. Still wouldn't ever catch me doing something like that....

Maybe the vid speed has been sped up?

What a maroon (the lane-splitter, not Miles).

He was insulting the rider, not the equipment.

Thought about that Jensen so I took another look. Not an expert but I doubt it was. Looks too smooth.

I agree, I don't think it was speed up. I have seen other videos like this though that are speed up and make the rider look insane when in reality what he was doing was very tame and pretty safe.
