Moderate Ride - May 12th

Post by DarcShadow » Sun May 06, 2007 9:07 pm

I'll lead a Moderate Ride May 12th, unless some one else wants to lead it. Probably won't be too long. I'll work out the route and post our departure time once I figure out how long of a ride it'll be.

Don't feel bad, I have to work too. This year has been kinda weird. I have to either work, I'm racing, gets rained out, or we have bent wheels and it starts raining :-o

I think I might have to work... not sure yet. I might be taking a personal "intermediate" to Oklahoma (350 miles, one way). Mother's day is Sunday.

Depends on the weather and Saphira's condition.

I have a soccer tourney Saturday (I forget what time), but depending on the time of the ride I might be able to make it.

Unless the unexpected comes up, I will be there. Hopefully we will put on more that ~10 miles for this one (maybe the Yamahas need to be running with inner tubes :-) ).

Wouldn't have helped... just remember whenever you get a flat... yeah, that sucks, but it's not everyday you get a flat WHEEL. Be thankful for your flat tires...

or WHEELS.

Ok, I have a route in mind. It's about 180 miles and will put us in Joshua for lunch. We'll stop at a fast food place. Joshua is close enough to Fort Worth if any one wants to skip lunch and head on home they can easily enough.

Weather is saying that's it's supose to rain Saturday so we'll just have to play it by ear. As of now I'm planning on leaving Sonice at 9:00.

here is the link to the meet up point. all rides are public unless otherwise stated. rides, at most times, have a set schedule so make it a point to atleast be 5-10 minutes early. prior to every ride there is a short safety brief given by the ride leader/s to minimize bad incedents. recommended you have proper protective equipment, you never know what track will let you on for some free pavement time.

Awesome! Thanks for the information.

I'll be there around 8:30-8:45am. I live on Bryant Irving, so that's pretty close if I take the loop.

Too bad you didnt log on last night. We had a bike night at the Fox and Hound there on Bryant Irving and 820. You could have shown up and met everyone.

I know! I'm sad about that too. I looked at the Calendar today, and I couldn't believe that I <just> missed a bike night. Oh well, hopefully sometime this summer.

Had a good ride today thanks for all the new people that showed up. No one got hurt except a Turtle and a Snake. I can't wait until Monday. See all of you that are going to track day.

Thanks Matt - That was a fun ride. not too fast, not too slow. Good route. That was a lot of fun. Tired me out. I got home drank 2 bottles of water and took a 3 hour nap on the couch.
Glad to have met everyone again, I'm ready to do that again next week!
