Moderate Club Ride, Saturday June 20th

Post by fixxervi6 » Tue Jun 16, 2015 8:27 pm

FWMR Club Ride

Meetup: Sonic on Clifford St. in White Settlement
Kick stands up: 9am
Ride Leader: Fixxervi6

This will be a Moderate pace ride. Moderates are great for riders who want a slightly faster pace than beginners but still slow enough to be relaxed and comfortable on any sized bike, with a passenger, or learning to ride with the group. The pace for a moderate ride is at or near posted speed limits. On a Moderate ride the ride leader tries to keep a closer eye on the group and adjust the speeds appropriately.

Please be dressed appropriately, helmet, gloves, over the ankle shoes and long pants.

Ride will depart our normal location and head to the school in Aledo for the Adopt a Highway Trash pickup (we will make a run up and down FM5 before the pickup). After the pickup the ride will continue on to some BBQ with more twisites after lunch

I didn't think it was too bad. Although we did need to make frequent stops for refreshments.

I didn't think it was bad when moving, but I did tell myself to pull out the evapvest next time.

Riding home was very nice and I hooked up with a few other riders for about 50mi that we kept switching leaders. It was very nice going home
